Adopt-A-Horse Rescue

  While our mission remains the same, there have been some

changes to CCEHC Adopt a Horse Program. In addition,

we no longer have use of the county shelter in which we were able

to maintain a community hay bank.

  Adopt-a-Horse will still offer certain services to the equine

population in Clark County and Cowlitz County but intake of

horses will be limited to the following catastrophic circumstances

(on a case by case basis): deceased or debilitated horse owner;

abandoned horse(s); loss of home and horse shelter due to fire; loss of income; or requested by animal control. We also maintain a list of property owners willing to shelter horses and other farm animals that need to be temporarily evacuated due to fire.

  Ripley's Horse Aid (also a program of CCEHC) can help with cost of feed and care (farrier, castration, dentals, euthanasia and body removal) to horse owners facing temporary financial struggles.
